YSL love in Marrakesh...

This september i decided to do something different, so me and a close friend booked a trip to Marrakesh! One of the places i most enjoyed seeing was the Majorelle garden, a beautifull botanical garden hidden in the middle of the busy city, its full of stunningly colourful flowers, cacti and fountains.
Manmade by French artiste Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and opened to the public in 1947, it was later owned by the fashion designer Yves saint Laurent who added his blue touch. I now want to live here, i think this may be my dream house and garden, the bright blue and yellow building surrounded by the greenest plants, frogs and turtles was like being in a daydream.....

In a little roon in the gardens was also a mini exhibtion of Yves Saint Laurents Love postcards, that every year he would design and sent to friends from 1970 to 2000, the brightly coloured images condaining Art Deco snakes to geometric Mattisse inspired collages and of course his beloved french bulldog, Moujik.
Cant wait to get making the christmas cards this year!
